Made from quarter-sawn white oak. The uprights are dyed (ebonized).
The cross-pieces are joined with edge-laps, the uprights with mortise and tenon joints.
Bridge trusses were the inspiration for the supports on this table. The support structure is a simple "V", upright in one direction, and inverted in the other. An interesting visual effect of this is how the design changes as you walk around the table, depending on your point of view. Three tables in one!
